Our tour is over!

It was such a pleasure to be able to visit our friends in Brockville, Montreal & Ottawa and we really look forward to returning in the future.

Here’s a short backstage interview we did at our last concert in Ottawa, with Cellist Emmanuelle Beaulieu Bergeron, where she talks about touring as well as what it was like to play in her hometown Montreal.

We arrived in Ottawa earlier this afternoon by train from Montreal, for our last concert tonight…It’s been a blast.

When we arrived we were really happy when we received our Production Manager Chris Walroth’s tweet: “1:30 pm Truck in the dock at NAC.”

There is a lot that goes in to planning and managing an Orchestra tour and in this backstage interview Chris Walroth talks a bit about his role in that process:

Looking forward to our concert in T-minus 30 minutes!

We just finished our first performance in the OSM’s new concert hall in Montreal.

It’s always interesting to play in a new space, especially one that is a brand new Canadian cultural institution.

It was a pleasure to perform Shostakovich’s Symphony #12 there.

Here’s a short interview with percussionist Donald Kuehn where he discusses performing Shostakovich’s 12th Symphony:

Looking forward to a relaxing night in Montreal before we head out to Ottawa tomorrow morning.
